Biography

A good friend of mine once said, the only reason you should be in a band, is if you're going to try and do something that no one else has done before, and if you're going to put every ounce of passion you have into the music. The Nix have been playing as a band since the Winter of 1998. While they haven't always followed the above mentioned philosophy, they adhere to it strongly now. Trying to give label the band with a genre that's any more specific than "aggressive rock" is difficult to do because of the diverse influences of the band, ranging from Smashing Pumpkins to Slayer. In recent years the Nix have seen a dramatic lull in activity, both on the stage and in the studio, but they have remained close and in contact. Now that all of the members have found their groove in the real world, they have resumed putting their passion where it belongs.

A different friend of mine once told me that rock was dead. I don't see eye to eye with that friend when it comes to music.
